About Kate

I'm Kate Leney, a botanical artist and printmaker with a love of plants, natural colour and the creative possibilities of the natural world.My practice brings together printmaking, cyanotype, botanical dyeing and ecoprinting, exploring the patterns, colours and textures found in leaves, flowers and other natural materials.Having worked with botanical arts and creative workshops in Italy, I'm now establishing The Botanical Sanctuary in Cardiff: a space to experiment, learn, share skills and reconnect with nature through making.I believe creativity is for everyone. Whether you're an experienced maker or simply curious to try something new, I hope to offer welcoming workshops where we can slow down, get our hands busy and discover what plants can do.
